Installing a Scanner Update

Installing a Scanner Update Involves three steps:

1) Installation of the new Scanner Application

2) Download Existing Setup and Data

3) Verify Successful Installation via an Upload Operation

1a) Unzip update into C:\Program Files\ABR

1b) Install the scanner application from the start menu (this step must be repeated for each scanner):

1c) Insert Scanner Handheld into the Hotsync cradle, and initiate a Hotsync operation (this step must be repeated for each scanner)

2a) Start the As-Built Reporter PC Application (this step must be repeated for each scanner):

2b) Download Setup from As-Built Reporter by Navigating to the Download Setup screen in the ABR Application and initiating a Hotsync operation (this step must be repeated for each scanner):

2c) Close the Download Setup screen in the As-Built Reporter PC Application (this step must be repeated for each scanner):

3a) Initiate a Hotsync operation to verify normal operation (this step must be repeated for each scanner)

The Upgrade is complete
